October is my favourite time of year! Crunchy leaves under foot, golden colours amongst the trees and a crisp feel about the air.
Autumn for me is curling up by the fire with a cosy blanket, a mug of tea (or a glass of port on a Sunday afternoon!), and a good film! We have recently installed a wood burner at home and redecorated the living and dining rooms so I was on the hunt for new accessories.
I knew exactly where to find them and that was with my favourite supplier, Sass & Belle. One of my favourite things to do is researching new stock, I love adding new collections to our website, choosing colours and designs.
Autumn is always full of lush golden colours, mossy greens, and soft greys, which you will find in a lot of our planters and vases.
Carrying on with the Autumn theme, I decided to add some soft furnishings to our range. Cosy blankets, statement cushions, and a great range of on-trend storage baskets. Our ever-growing cement planter collection is so popular we can’t keep up, the earthy tones of the black and gold-dipped planters lend themselves very well to many style combinations.
We introduced the Mojave collection not so long back and I have to admit I was hesitant about it. I personally love the glazed mini planters and vases but I wasn’t sure they would be so popular…… how wrong was I? They are to date the best selling collection we have, mini planters and mini vases in a range of stunning autumnal colours. The glazed ombre effect makes a real statement to your room. Sometimes when I’m searching for new stock I tend to favour everything that I’d like to fill my home with, so I have to stop myself and think outside the box about what others may like.
Choosing cushions and blankets is my idea of heaven, all those lush colours and textures. Sass and Belle have a fantastic range so that makes it super easy to choose. I love the Scandi Boho range anyway so adding soft furnishings was a fabulous addition to the collection.
Of course with every room you style now you need a trendy storage basket for one reason or another…… or no reason at all apart from to just look pretty! Make a statement with a lush leafy house plant or use a small rope and seagrass basket for your kindling wood, they have so many uses you’ll never have enough!
