We have been busy making the most of lockdown 3 by refurbishing our St Ives shop.

Once we had sealed the deal on taking up permanent residence in St Ives, Ed and I set to work on the refurb. First on the list was making a bigger counter space. Ed is really handy and had previously made some shelving displays for the shop when we first opened so we decided to utilise what we already had instead of spending money on expensive shop fittings. With a little bit of sawing here and there and few adaptions, soon we had a brilliant counter space where we can serve customers safely and have enough space for packing things up. We boarded the front of the counter to tidy it up and make a nice area for displaying . Behind the counter we have shelving which creates great space for organising and keeping our product collections together.

We ordered some shelving from Ikea and adapted that to fit our existing displays, luckily for me Ed is a clever chap and has a a good eye for things. I trawled through Pinterest for ideas and came across a great cushion display stand. As simple as it was, the end result it really effective and I think Ed did a grand job! We now have a fab display to keep the cushions together and let customers see the different designs.

We were kindly gifted a display stand from one of our suppliers so this is being used as a centre piece display in the shop. It has space to hang our hanging planters so they can be clearly displayed and 3 big spaces to display our gorgeous planters.

After a week of hard work (mostly from Ed, as I was homeschooling the girls) The shop has really taken shape. I love it when an idea comes to life, from a vision in my head, to a drawing on paper to actually looking at the real thing. I am forever grateful to be married to someone who’s happy to turn their hand to anything….. even the trickiest of challenges.

We have a Facebook live event on Thursday 4th February so I have been busy tidying and organising where everything goes. It’s not perfect just yet, I am a little OCD and if something doesn’t sit right, I wont rest until it’s clear in my mind. You can only imagine how many time’s I’ve moved things around. We are awaiting a huge delivery of my favourite collection – The Mojave range! We are expecting that to arrive later this week so it was important to me to be able to have a space where I can showcase it all for everyone to see.

Now all we need is to be able to fling open the doors again and welcome you all back!

Thank you for everyone’s continued support online, we really are very greatful
